Increase Agility

Increasing agility can help to improve your performance in all sports, and if you play soccer it can definitely make a world of difference. Agility means that you can change direction quickly, change the position of the body without falling over or losing balance, stop, start and generally be a much more effective member of the team. The more agile you are, the more quickly you can respond to your opposing player and stick to them like glue (or escape from them) depending on the position you play.

There are many exercises and soccer drills which are specifically designed to improve your agility, many of them involving the use of a speedladder  which can really help to keep you on your toes.
