CONDITIONS OF PLAY AND LAWS OF MINI SOCCER

1

(c)

Except by permission of the Management Committee all matches must be played on the dates originally fixed. Clubs may mutually agree to bring forward a match with consent of the Fixtures Secretary.

1

(i)

The fixtures shall be arranged by the Fixtures Secretaries. The Fixtures Secretaries shall have the full authority to arrange and rearrange all fixtures at their own discretion, but shall not change the original venue without the consent of the clubs concerned unless a change is essential to the interests of the League.

(ii)

All matches must be played as programmed except in adverse weather conditions or when the pitch is deemed unfit for play.

(iii)

It is recommended that the referee or delegate should carry out a pitch inspection a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled kick-off time. Should the pitch be deemed unfit, it is the responsibility of the home team official to contact his opposition without delay, advise accordingly and seek to use their pitch or an agreed alternative venue. Once this option has been exhausted the League may instruct the game to be played at an alternative venue or declare the game postponed.

(d)

The Secretary or team manager of the home club must give notice of full particulars of the location of an access to the ground and time of kick-off to the match officials (if appointed) and the secretary or team manager of the opposing club at least five clear days prior to the playing of the match. The away club shall seek and acknowledge receipt of such particulars.

Any club failing to comply with this rule shall be liable to a find of £5 (five pounds) minimum.

(e)

Every club shall play its best available qualified team or teams in all matches in the competition. In the event of a club playing in any match with fewer than seven players they may be fined one penny for each missing player. A minimum of six players will constitute a team for a competition match.

(f)

Home and away matches shall be played. In the event of a club failing to keep its engagement the Management Committee shall have power to inflict a fine, deduct points from the defaulting club, award the points to the opponents, order the defaulting club to pay any expenses incurred by the opponents, or otherwise deal with them except the award of goals. Notwithstanding the foregoing home and away provision, the Management Committee shall have power to order a match to be played on a neutral ground or on the opponent's ground if they are not satisfied that such action is warranted by the circumstances.

1

Any club with more than one team in the competition shall always fulfil its fixtures within the competition in the following order of precedence: oldest age group first team, oldest age group second team, then descending age groups and teams seniority. Clubs in breach of this requirement shall be fined a sum not exceeding £5 (five pounds) or otherwise dealt with by the Management Committee.

(g)

A club may, at its discretion, and in accordance with the Laws of the Game, use three substitute players in any match in this competition who may be selected from three players.

The half-time interval shall not exceed five minutes duration as per Mini Soccer Law 7.

(i) Teams arriving late and causing the scheduled kick-off time to be delayed more than fifteen minutes shall forfeit the match.

(ii) Goalkeepers should be encouraged to either roll or throw the ball back into play opposed to "drop-kicking" so as to develop the ground skills of the outfield players. It is recommended that agreement between team managers is reached prior to commencement of the game.

(iii)

No matches shall commence before 9.45 a.m. without prior agreement by both teams/clubs.

For Mini Soccer any number of substitutes may be used at any time with the permission of the referee. Entry on to the field of play will only be allowed during a stoppage in play. A player who has been replaced may return to the field as a substitute for another player.
